This year, the program attracted the participation of juniors and seniors from information technology (IT) schools in three fields of Cloud, Data Science, and Information Security.

Accordingly, nearly 500 entries were submitted to the organizing panel. The selected trainees underwent training and internship programs.

Twelve outstanding students are recruited into Viettel.

In particular, during the internship programs, leading experts of Viettel and in the world updated the chosen students with knowledge related to data computing, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), malicious code and error exploitation, and application security, so on.

The trainees also had a chance to take part in Viettel’s key projects, namely Viettel Private Cloud, Vietnamese speech recognition model, Customer-Centric AI system, and more.

Finally, 12 best trainees were recruited to work for Viettel. At present, Viettel plans to hire around 500 to 700 IT engineers every year.

Tao Duc Thang, Deputy General Director of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel), affirmed that as Vietnam’s leading corporation in technology and industry, Viettel is responsible for detecting, training and fostering talents in digital technology, laying a solid foundation for national digital transformation. By 2025, Viettel targets to become a leading destination for high-quality human resources (Talent-hub).

In 2022, the program will be expanded to two more areas of manufacturing research and telecommunications engineering, he added.
