Viettel and MB present gift packages to COVID-19-stricken people
PANO – The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony on December 7 to receive 100,000 gift packages from the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB).
These gift packages, worth VND 30 billion, aimed to support local people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the event, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan thanked Viettel and MB for their support to pandemic-affected people in the city. He promised to cooperate with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 22 districts in Ho Chi Minh City to give these gifts to the right people.
The official also expected to receive more support from agencies, units, and businesses.
Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized and received financial assistance, goods, vehicles, and medical equipment, worth about VND 4,000 billion in total, from localities, agencies, units, businesses, and domestic and foreign individuals to support the city in the pandemic fight.
