This is the second time that Saigon Newport Corporation has been honored with the title.
Over the past 35 years of its development, Saigon Newport Corporation has held its leading position in the field of port operations and logistics services in Vietnam and made important contributions to the country's economic development and the protection of national sovereignty over sea and islands. The business has been credited as an example in implementing the Party's policy on combining economic development and defense consolidation.
Notably, in the recent 10 years, Saigon Newport Corporation has witnessed outstanding development and obtained impressive and historic achievements in terms of scale, quality, efficiency, and capacity of management and deep international integration, thus bringing the Saigon Newport brand to the world. The enterprise is now running seaports in 17 key provinces and cities from South to North.
In addition, Saigon Newport Corporation is a pioneering and leading enterprise in investing in and extensively applying information technology, digital transformation, and online services to management, operation, maintenance of service quality, and building of "green ports" and "smart services.”
Speaking at the event, Deputy Defense Minister Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh said that the enterprise’s efforts, determination, and excellent achievements have greatly contributed to the Fatherland protection mission and overall development of the nation.

The defense leader asked the corporation to continue to grasp the resolutions of the Party and the Central Military Commission; focus on building a healthy and strong Saigon Military Port Party Committee to lead the unit to successfully complete all tasks; come up with comprehensive development strategies; build smart ports; further promote its role as the number one port operator and logistics service provider in Vietnam; continue to be a pioneering enterprise in implementing the Party's guidelines and State’s policies on combining economic development with defense, defense with economic development; actively promote production and trade and be ready to participate in protecting the national sovereignty over the sea and islands, contributing to safeguarding the Fatherland from afar and building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
At the ceremony, Saigon Newport Corporation handed over VND 5 billion, voluntarily donated by its officers, employees, and workers, to the "For the Poor" Fund of 25 provinces and cities.
