Speaking at the event, Senior Naval Captain Bui Si Tuan, Deputy General Director of Tan Cang Newport Corporation, underlined that the program aims to support orphaned children of needy fishermen and create better conditions for their growth, contributing to tightening the military-civilian ties and consolidating the firm people’s heart posture. The program is also seen as a source of encouragement for fishermen to feel secure while fishing offshore, contributing to safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands.

On the occasion, Saigon Newport Corporation contributed VND 160 million to build two gratitude houses for two families of national contributors in Quang Xuong district and Nghi Son town; at the same time presented 50 gifts to 50 needy fishermen in Quang Xuong district, Nghi Son town and Sam Son city.

Moreover, the Tan Cang Song Than ICD JSC handed over six bicycles to the six sponsored children.
