As rescue forces from many countries, including Vietnam, arrived in Myanmar to support the country’s relief efforts, Mytel swiftly re-established signals and distributed nearly 1,000 SIM cards to rescue personnel.

The company also deployed five mobile stations and adjusted coverage at 46 stations to serve field hospitals and the search and rescue operations in Mandalay and Naypyidaw.

For Vietnam’s rescue forces in Naypyidaw, Mytel provided mobile broadcast vehicles and supported the facilitation of post-earthquake recovery efforts.

By March 31, the company had restored 70% of mobile connectivity in Mandalay and 65% in Naypyidaw, while fully reinstating international connections, ensuring seamless communications across Myanmar.

However, landslides and road damage caused by the earthquake have hampered transportation, affecting the network restoration process.

In addition to emergency supplies distributed since March 28, Mytel has expanded its battery charging stations to nearly 500 locations and provided five tons of food, and clean water to local people. The company has also distributed 20,000 SIM cards and installed 100 Wi-Fi stations to support communications for those in need, and will continue its efforts in the coming days.
