Mytel is one of the favorite network operator in Myanmar.

According to figures, the number is 2.5 times higher than the fourth largest operator in the Southeast Asian nation.

Meanwhile, Myanmar has become the largest international market for Viettel. Previously, the ASEAN member country was also a foreign market with the two million subscribers, the fastest so far, of Viettel Group (including the Vietnam market), after only a month of operation.

Reportedly, Myanmar is the tenth international market of Viettel Group. It is also the foreign market with the largest population size and the largest investment.

In addition, Mytel has around 36,000km of fiber-optic cables, which make up 50% of the country’s total cable lines. It is also the first mobile operator to cover 4G nationwide and the first company to apply the one-second-block fee (per second).

Furthermore, Mytel is the first operator in Myanmar to provide VoLTE, eSIM, and introduce 5G services. Currently, 75% of Mytel customers use 4G (the highest among Viettel’s investment markets).

In the first quarter of this year, thanks to the strong growth in new subscribers and new services (eSports), Mytel earned a profit of USD 25 million two years earlier than expected.

Since Mytel joined the telecom market, the network operator has helped popularize internet services in this country with an increase from 31% (Mytel started providing service in June 2018) to 55% (September 2019).

Mytel also has the highest customer satisfaction index - NPS (Net Promoter Score) in Myanmar, with a plus 11 score.
