The event was attended by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang, and leaders and former leaders of the Party, State and military.
Over the past 40 years, the army corps has well accomplished its defense-security tasks as well as business and production work, poverty reduction, and gratitude activities, among other.
Recently, the corps has also been tasked with international service in Laos with important constructions, especially the building of the Lao National Congress’ headquarters, contributing to heightening the country’s and the military’s prestige and position, while promoting the Vietnam-Laos special friendship. For its great achievements over the past 40 years, Army Corps 11 has been awarded a number of noble orders by the Party, State and military.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Phuc presented the third-class Fatherland Protection Order to the unit for its remarkable task performance.
Addressing the ceremony, the president requested the Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense to direct military enterprises in general and Army Corps 11 in particular to continue to promptly fulfill its assigned missions, promoting its strength of military businesses in economic development in association with reinforcing defense and security.
He underscored that enterprises are pioneering forces in socio-economic development and ensuring defense and security in border and sea and islands areas.

Addressing the event, President Phuc highlighted the strong performance of Army Corps 11 in completing its military and defense duties as well as business and production tasks, becoming a major force in military construction and establishing a prestigious trademark in the construction sector. Meanwhile, the military enterprises in general should also increase national defense resources, and make contribution to the state budget and carry out social security and military policies, deserving the title of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the new current context.
President Phuc also advised the Army Corps 11 to further promote its obtained achievements over the past 40 years, striving to become a strong reserved-engineering force of the military.
