Army Corps 11 holds youth union congress
PANO - Army Corps 11 held its Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Congress for the 2017-2022 term on August 2 in Hanoi.
In the past five years, the unit’s youth union members actively performed all assigned tasks in production, trade and construction.
Youth union members, accounting for about 40 percent of the unit’s labor force, contributed thousands of working days to building rural roads for localities; building playground areas for soldiers and residents on Truong Sa (Spratly) Island of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.
Speaking at the congress, the unit’s Party Committee's Secretary and Deputy Commander, Senior Colonel Vu Van Diem underlined that youth union members carried out many practical activities in response to emulation movements, actively took part in production activities, applied technical initiatives that saved hundreds of billion dongs. Youths of the unit also carried out a number of social and charitable activities while continuously consolidating their youth union organizations at all levels.
At the congress, the unit’ youth union organization urged its members to carry out the two movements of “Military youth to reach the heights” and “Military youth engaging in science and technology”, while enhancing the movement “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morals, and lifestyle” and the campaign “Promoting traditions, contributing talent, deserving to be Uncle Ho's soldiers.”
