Construction of Rach Gia Passenger Port begins

At the ground-breaking ceremony

The construction of the port, at the mouth of the Kien River in Vinh Thanh Ward, will be completed after two years at a cost of over VND 270 billion. The project includes several items such as new terminals, a jetty, overnight moorings, and other safety facilities.

Once completed, it will provide numerous services, such as passenger transportation, port logistics, and shophouses for the city and localities nearby.

It is expected to serve over 2.3 million of passengers and create favorable conditions for cargo transportation among local islands, contributing to developing tourism and the socio-economy of the province.
