An ethnic woman weaving brocade
|
During the one-month program, starting July 1, tourists will have opportunities to experience the daily life of ethnic minority groups, particularly their typical colors, flavors, and products. This will help them learn more about the unique culture and customs of each ethnic minority group.
According to the management board, the July program will see the participation of some 100 ethnic people from 15 ethnic minority groups, such as Nung, Tay, H’mong, Dao, Muong and Kho Mu.
Apart from the brocade weaving performance named “Colors of time,” the highlight of the program, there will be other interesting activities for visitors to join. Accordingly, at each stop in the village, tourists will be told about the host group’s stories, make traditional cultural products, practice folk dances and singing in praise of the predecessors, play such folk games as “con” throwing, walking on stilts, and taste specialties, among others.
