The 11th edition aims to promote the beauty of the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark, honor the cultural identity of the ethnic communities living in the area, and affirm the province’s commitment to making tourism a spearhead economic sector. The event also serves as an opportunity to introduce the province’s tourism brand and to expand regional development linkages following the recent administrative reorganization at the provincial level.

During the ceremony, the organizing panel announced an appeal from the Tuyen Quang Chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, calling on all residents, officials, armed forces personnel, businesses, organizations, benefactors, tourists, and viewers of the ceremony to support the people of the South Central provinces in recovering from flood damage. Contributions can be made by scanning a QR code or transferring funds to the account of the Tuyen Quang Chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This meaningful humanitarian initiative will help flood-affected communities stabilize their lives and rebuild their hometowns.

In her opening remarks, Vice Chairwoman of the Tuyen Quang provincial People’s Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha emphasized that after administrative unit reorganization, Tuyen Quang has become a land rich in development potential, with an important position in regional connectivity, providing opportunities to expand the province’s economic, cultural, and tourism development space. The province possesses many unique values, such as the Lung Cu Flagpole, the northernmost point of the country, the “Capital of the Liberation Zone, Capital of the Resistance,” along with a system of revolutionary “red addresses” and the vibrant cultural spaces of 22 ethnic groups.

In 2025, Tuyen Quang’s tourism sector earned numerous prestigious titles and awards, helping reaffirm the province’s position on the national and international tourism map. The first Congress of Tuyen Quang provincial Party Organization for the 2025–2030 term set the strategic goal of “Developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector,” promoting heritage-based economic growth, creating livelihoods for communities, and advancing the cultural industry grounded in heritage and creativity. The province is implementing comprehensive solutions with strong support from Party committees, authorities, and the people.

The local leader expressed her hope that Tuyen Quang will continue to receive the support of the Government, ministries, sectors, other localities, businesses, and especially the ethnic communities of the province in pursuing comprehensive development goals.

At the ceremony, the organizing panel announced the official brand identity of the Tuyen Quang Buckwheat Flower Festival and reviewed the province’s notable tourism achievements in 2025.

Following the ceremony, the artistic program took place, portraying the legendary beauty of the buckwheat flower, the vibrant colors of a transforming rocky plateau, and the aspirations of the people of Tuyen Quang.

This year’s festival continues to offer a variety of exciting activities throughout December, 2025 at scenic points and community tourism villages across the Karst Plateau communes, promising visitors fresh and memorable experiences.
