The contest aimed to honor the fighting spirit and the heroic sacrifice of our troops and civilians during the resistance war for national salvation from 1959 to 1975 on the Truong Son Road and to praise units that upheld the tradition of Truong Son soldiers in the national construction and protection cause, and outstanding examples of Truong Son soldiers in daily life.

Accordingly, the contest, which is open to all Vietnamese citizens including overseas Vietnamese, focused on two themes with various types such as written compositions, reportage, autobiography reflection. Each entry should not exceed 2,000 words.

The organizing panel will present five collective prizes, worth VND 20 million each, and individual prizes of each type include one first, three second, six third, and fifteen consolation prizes, to the winners.
