The delegation, led by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and President of the Vietnamese Students’ Association Nguyen Minh Triet, consists of over 80 outstanding young representatives from youth organizations, young entrepreneurs, artists, doctors, intellectuals, journalists, and recipients of the “Outstanding Vietnamese Young Faces” and “Promising Young Vietnamese Faces” awards for 2024.

With the message “Pride in beloved homeland,” this coordination event takes place on the historic occasion of the 50th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025). It highlights the vanguard, voluntary, and sharing spirit of young people toward officers, soldiers, and islanders, who are firmly safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands.

During the program, delegates will participate in a cultural exchange program titled “Song of Reunification;” watch a documentary on the 70-year history of the Vietnam People's Navy; offer incense in tribute to fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives for national sovereignty over sea and islands; join the “Pride in beloved homeland” photo contest and the “Truong Sa (Spratly Islands) – Emotions and faith” writing contest, among others. The delegation will also visit, present gifts to, and have culture and sports exchange with officers, and soldiers, and people on islands in Truong Sa island district and DK1 platform.

Through the program, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee hopes that delegates will gain profound insights into the lives and duties of soldiers and people who are firmly defending the national sovereignty and carrying out maritime economic development. It is also aimed to further cultivate patriotism and inspire ongoing support for those who are carrying out missions at sea.
