The information was announced at a press conference jointly organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ho Chi Minh City Television on October 14.

During the 11th edition, artists who have visited Truong Sa island district of Khanh Hoa province and islands in Southwestern waters of the Fatherland and young singers will perform songs about sea and islands. This program will also see the participation of troops of the Vietnam People’s Navy and the Vietnam Border Guard. 

Notably, during this event, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy composer Ngo Duy Thanh’s song, titled “Fatherland, the ship, and the sailor,” performed by officers of Submarine 183 - Ho Chi Minh City under Brigade 189 of the Vietnam People’s Navy. This is one of the ten famous songs by the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association dedicated to the submarine force.

Reportedly, this artistic program was first organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City in 2013. This event has received over VND 25 billion in donations. To date, the “For the Fatherland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland” Fund has, through the artistic program, received over VND 515 billion and has allocated more than VND 470 billion for social activities.
