The contest, jointly held by the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization Central Council, the Vietnam Post and the Vietnam Philatelic Association, will take place from December 30, 2021 to April 29, 2022.

Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization Central Council Nguyen Pham Thu Trang attended the event.
Speaking at the event, Trang underlined the importance of the contest with the theme “Vietnam’s sea and islands through postage stamps,” affirming that it is seen as a practical history lesson to educate teenagers and children of love and pride for their homeland and raise their awareness of national maritime sovereignty.
In addition, the contest helps bolster patriotism among Vietnamese children, contributing to firmly safeguarding national sovereignty over sea and islands, she added.
She also expressed her hope that through the contest, children will become ambassadors, conveying meaningful messages about the national sea and islands, and the special values of postage stamps to family, friends, and the community as well.

Regarding the contest’s regulations, entries must include accurate information related to full name, date of birth, school’s name and address, home address, and telephone number. They must be presented on A4-size or squared papers without erasing.
Participants are required to send entries that have never been published on any books, newspapers, magazines or mass media. They are also encouraged to submit handwritten entries with authentic stamps to illustrate.
