Latdavanh Inthaphonh, Deputy-Head of Consulate General of Laos in Ho Chi Minh City said that right when she first set her foot in Phu Yen, she felt relaxed.
In fact, this South Central coastal province has emerged as an attraction after the screening of the film “Yellow flowers on the green grass.” The beauty of Phu Yen is of simplicity in both scenery and people. It is the place where someone could see the strict observance of traffic law on streets. Despite scorching weather, deserted roads, local people keep stopping at traffic lights when they turn red.

Phu Yen is also charming thanks to simple images of a small girl cycling in the sea of plants, of roofs near forest or on water, looking like oases.
Phu Yen has Ghenh Da Dia (Cliffs of Rock Plates), Dai Lanh cape, Vung Ro and Xuan Dai bays, and more. Each landscape gives tourists different feelings.
Learning more about the province’s culture, people could see its typical Central Highlands one. While visiting Kham village, Krong Pa commune, Son Hoa district, each visitor is presented with a lucky bracelet bearing a wish for good health, smooth travel, love, and successful children by village patriarch Kpa Tun who will tell them stories about the land and people of Phu Yen.
Gazing at her bracelet, Iiudmila Kochenova, former head of the International Culture Faculty, assistant to Director of Moscow Culture and Art Institute, who visited Phu Yen with her daughter for the first time, said that she had decided to explore the province after being introduced to the cultural differences between the North and the South.
For her, lying in the Central coast of Vietnam makes Phu Yen different and she really wanted to know the differences. Therefore, coming to the province, she further understands and loves Vietnam more, which is home of a number of her students and she has a strong attachment to.
“With more opportunities to make comparison among places in Vietnam I have learnt more about the country’s status in the integration process. I have also acknowledged Vietnam’s potential when the country has young talented human resources. I do believe that with that foundation, Vietnam will develop rapidly in the future,” the Russian woman said.
She added that more and more Russian people want to visit Vietnam. “Vietnamese people are friendly and hospitable and love Russians. More and more elder Russians wish to live in another country, and they frequently choose Asia. So, I think Phu Yen is a choice.”
Having visited Phu Yen many times, Silvana Grantcharova from the Academy of Human Universal Energy and Spirituality (HUESA) international organization held that she does love the province. Since late 2016, she has come to Phu Yen ten times. She highlighted the friendship of people in Phu Yen in particular and in Vietnam in general.
“I love Phu Yen, Ghenh Da Dia, Da Bia mountain, Cham people’s culture, stone musical instruments, and Miami-like beaches. Phu Yen’s advantages of nature, environment and culture are not like others. Present generations should preserve what their ancestors have passed down to them,” Silvana Grantcharova said.
As a tourist, she suggested Phu Yen make beaches cleaner to attract more tourists to the province. To do that, she proposed education programs to raise the public’s awareness of the importance of sanitation for beaches.
“Keep clean water resources, beaches and everything will go natural,” she said.
