Thousands of people join walk for AO/dioxin victims
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh City Association for Agent Orange/Dioxin (AO/Dioxin) Victims, in coordination with relevant organizations, held the “For AO/dioxin victims” walk in 2026 on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in Sai Gon ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was an activity to mark the 65th anniversary of the AO disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - 2026).
According to Maj. Gen. Nguyen Hong Son, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for AO/Dioxin Victims, the city currently has approximately 25,000 AO victims spanning multiple generations.
About 5,000 delegates, officials, servicemembers, Youth Union members and local residents took part in the walk. The event conveyed the message, “Put the past aside – look toward the future,” calling on the community to help ease the suffering caused by AO/dioxin and promote humanitarian values.

As part of the program, delegates also released doves of peace into the sky of Ho Chi Minh City and presented gifts to several families of AO/dioxin victims.
