On November 10-11, 2018, Dak Lak province was honored to receive General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, as part of his two-day visit to the province to attend the great national solidarity festival in Dur Kmal commune, Krong Ana district - a heroic place during the resistance war against the U.S. imperialists.
Speaking at the festival, the Party chief underscored the significance of the event. In wartime, great solidarity created the power to defeat the enemy. In peacetime, it is important to build a firm great national solidarity bloc to develop the hometown and the country as well. Great solidarity is a great thought of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh throughout the revolutionary cause. Meanwhile, the General Secretary expressed his delight at the outstanding achievements obtained by ethnic minority groups, villages and hamlets in Dur Kmal commune.
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong passed away; however, his directions on great solidarity have been engraved in the mind of ethnic minorities in Dak Lak province, thereby creating the power to successfully implement the revolutionary cause.

Through his revolutionary career for more than half a century, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong proved his core leadership role, creating the unity in the political system, helping the country overcome a number of difficulties and challenges to obtain such great achievements and position.
Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong was a great intellectual and talent of the Vietnamese revolution; a thinker, a cultural figure, and a theory leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and an outstanding disciple who continuously studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle; dedicated his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and people; and lived for the country and its people. The comrade was not only a talented leader and true communist, but also a simple and kindhearted man who had close-knit ties with people. His directions demonstrated a strategic vision for national development and his drastic orders in the fight against corruption and wastefulness created absolute trust of people in the Party’s leadership, making contribution to promoting the power of great national unity.
Officials, party members and people in Huong Son district are committed to remaining steadfast in the Party’s renewal policy and the principles of Party building; staying united to overcome hardships and taking advantage of opportunities to build a clean and strong Party organization and political system; and successfully implementing the set targets.

Learning about the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Dien Bien province’s war veterans expressed their boundless grief. During his three terms as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), comrade Nguyen Phu Trong made great contribution to the Party building and rectification and the country’s construction. He was also an exemplary figure who continuously studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle. Attentively, the fight against corruption and negative phenomena initiated and directed by the General Secretary have proven effective, been affirmed through practice, and brought valuable lessons in both theory and practice.
Reality has shown that, under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam advanced to new heights in all aspects of politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, and security, affirming its national status in the international arena. The qualities, ethics, and talent of the General Secretary, especially his spirit of serving the nation and people throughout his tenure, have proved that he was indeed an outstanding disciple of President Ho Chi Minh.

Therefore, the whole people have more confidence in the Party’s leadership, as they have witnessed positive results of the Party’s fight against corruption and negative phenomena initiated and directed by the General Secretary.
Learning about the death of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Siu Phyin and local people in Goong village were sick at heart. Although never meeting the General Secretary before, through the television screen and information channels, I know that Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong is a simple man. Local people in Goong village and I vowed to stay united, place absolute trust in the Party's leadership, actively develop household economy, contributing to enriching the hometown and the country and upholding the achievements of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
