Maj. Gen. Tran Vinh Ngoc, Deputy Political Commissar of the MR7 Command, introduces to the command's key cadres General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's writings. |
According to the general, the military region’s officers and soldiers always take note of the leader’s writings and statements, and then actualize them via practical projects, especially concretizing General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s “Seven Dares” spirit, namely dare to think, dare to speak out, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to renovate and be creative, dare to confront difficulties and challenges, and dare to act for the common interest.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thanh, Political Commissar of Commando Battalion 60 of the MR7 Command’s Staff, shared that they were deeply sad and shocked when they heard the mass media's report that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had passed away. “We hold our hands together and pledge to further uphold General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s “Seven Dares” spirit. It has been a motivation for our unit to complete assigned tasks over the past years,” underlined Thanh.
Commando Battalion 60 is tasked with combat readiness training, anti-terrorism, and natural disaster response, particularly airborne training contents. Thus, on the very first days of training, new recruits have to strengthen their bravery and endurance, dare to do, and dare to confront difficulties and challenges during task performance.

Implementing the General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s “Seven Dares” spirit, the battalion’s officers set good examples for their troops, boost education and training work via good examples of war martyrs and training sessions. Therefore, the unit has ensured good results of training tasks with many difficult contents, contributing to building a well-trained, strictly disciplined unit and has been honored by the MR7 Command and the MR7 Department of Staff for years.
Commando Battalion 60 is one of the outstanding examples of implementing the “Seven Dares.” Accordingly, over the past time, the MR7 Command has implemented many movements and effective models to promote the traditions of the military and region, and boost troops’ dynamism and creativity, contributing to building strong and healthy Party organizations, and comprehensively-strong and “typical and exemplary” units.
