The event saw the attendance of more than 300 veterans who were Division 307’s troops and relatives of the division’s martyrs across the country.

During the meeting, generations of Division 307’s veterans recalled the glorious traditions of the division and the great sacrifice of troops in the Southwestern border protection war and in conducting international duties in Cambodia.

Senior Colonel Dinh Xuan Hoi, former military doctor of Division 307, shared that he and the division confronted a number of difficulties during the days of fighting and treating patients in Cambodia, due to the shortage of medicines and medical staff.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Huy Phuong, former deputy head of Regiment 94 of Division 307, after completing the missions assigned by the Party, the Fatherland and the people, soldiers returned to their normal life. Apart from reuniting with their comrades, they searched for the remains of their fallen comrades to bring them back to their hometowns and families. In particular, since 2012, veteran Nguyen Van Kha, Head of the Liaison Board of Division 307 veterans, together with other veterans, has found 262 sets of remains of fallen soldiers and handed over them to their families.

At the event, officers and soldiers of Division 307 vowed to uphold the tradition of former generations and join hands to build localities nationwide in general, Nha Trang city and Khanh Hoa in particular, more beautiful and prosperous, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.
