Accordingly, in the 2021-2025 period and the 2024-2025 dry season, the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains was strictly directed and implemented by the province’s Steering Committee 515, along with Party committees, local authorities, and relevant agencies and departments, successfully fulfilling the assigned targets.

Every year, the province effectively implemented the work in the locality and abroad. During the 2021-2025 period, the province found 457 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who sacrificed in Laos and identified the information of 1,015 sets of remains of martyrs who laid down their lives in Laos. In addition, 1,352 biological samples taken from martyrs' remains for DNA testing have been returned and stored in the national gene bank.
In his speech, Sr. Col. Dinh Xuan Huong underlined that in the coming years, the search and collection of martyrs’ remains in the province and in Laos, as well as the identification of remains, are expected to face numerous challenges. Therefore, the province should continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, while providing timely and adequate support, care, and policies for personnel involved in the search and collection missions; effectively implementing military external affairs and people-to-people diplomacy to further consolidate and enhance the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
