The bomb is detonated right in the place where it was found. |
Reportedly, this is an AN-M47A4 phosphorus bomb, 110cm in length, 67cm in diameter, and 45kg in weight, dropped by the U.S. Air Force during the war in Vietnam.
The brigade was unable to move the bomb to the detonation area due to a crack on its shell. Therefore, it was detonated right in the place where it was found.
Since the beginning of the year, Engineering Brigade 25 has collected and safely detonated nearly 10 tons of unexploded ordnance.
