Huge bomb moved to safer place for detonation
PANO - The Engineering Department under the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command and Ha Long city’s Military Command successfully deactivated and moved a nearly 230kg bomb left from the war to a safer place in Ha Long city on June 20.

The bomb was found on June 19 in the garden of the Nguyen Thanh Long family in Hong Hai ward, Ha Long city, when construction workers were clearing land in the garden.
The bomb is 30cm in diameter, over 150cm in length, and weighs nearly 230kg.
Upon receiving the information, the city’s military command sent troops to blockade the scene and evacuate nearby households from the dangerous object to a safe place.
It also asked the provincial military command to conduct a survey, assess the risk level, and remove the bomb.
The bomb is now in a safe area for detonation.
