The memorial and burial service for six martyrs whose remains have been gathered in Giang Nam village, Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district, Ha Giang province was held by the province’s Party Committee, delegation of National Assembly deputies, People’s Council and Committee and chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

The remains were collected by the Search and Collection Team of the Ha Giang provincial Military Command from June this year and have not been identified yet. All of the remains are relatively intact and the biological samples and belongings are quite good, convenient for DNA testing to identify the martyrs.

Before participating in this service, the delegation offered incense and flowers in tribute to fallen troops of Vi Xuyen Front at Incense Burner 468 in Vi Xuyen district.

In the national salvation and protection cause, including the fight to protect the Northern border of the country, many sacrificed their lives.

At Vi Xuyen Front, thousands of troops and ethnic minority people bravely and resiliently fought to defend the country’s land and more than 4,000 officers, soldiers, and people died and most of them were young.

Over the past years, the Party, State, Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, Party Committee, authorities and ethnic minority people of Ha Giang province have always remembered their sacrifice, stayed united and showed high determination to build a beautiful, wealthy, and civilized Vietnam country.
