Technicians on Truong Sa help fishermen fix trawler
PANO - The Truong Sa (Spratly) Island Logistics - Technical Service Center of Flotilla 129 of the Naval Service successfully fixed the net winch system of trawler NT 02070TS on May 18.
Earlier, at 7:00 on the same day, trawler NT 02070TS, captained by Tran Van Hoa from Ninh Hai district, Ninh Thuan province with 6 crew-members on board, had a problem in its winch control box, while fishing more than 6 nautical miles southwest of Truong Sa Island. The captain contacted the Logistics - Technical Service Center on Truong Sa Island for instructions and was guided to the dock for repair.

The center's technicians conducted an inspection, removed the damaged winch control box and brought it back to the center for repair.
At 16:00, the issue was successfully resolved. The technicians confirmed normal operation and handed over the repaired part to the trawler’s captain to continue fishing activities.

While the trawler was docked for repair, the center’s officers took the opportunity to disseminate information related to the Prime Minister's Directive No.45/CT-TTg among fishermen; introduced the functions of docks and fishing villages on Truong Sa island district; and presented national flags, life jackets, fresh water, necessities and medicines to fishermen on board.
