Participating in the camp were four groups with more than 80 teenagers and children, representing nearly 1,000 of those from 12 villages in Ia Rve commune. The program included many competitions, such as camp building, parade, dancing and singing, camp presentations, folk games, to name but a few.

Attentively, the program featured the “Ring the golden bell” contest with 75 questions about the traditions and activities of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, traffic safety, drowning prevention and control, and the Law on Children.

According to Luong Thi Nga, Secretary of the Ia Rve commune Youth Union Organization, the program aimed to create a useful playground for young pioneers and children during summer vacation; educate them on social skills, morality, physical training as well as meet their entertainment demands during the summer. It was an occasion for teenagers and children to improve their independence, have a correct perception of family and themselves, improve their physical strength, and cultivate love for their homeland and country.
