New approaches in inspection work
Under the direction of Gen. Tung, the inspection team introduced many innovations in both content and methods. Practical inspection methods were applied in military and defense tasks. Inspections during Party Committee meetings and emergency-response exercises allowed the delegation to directly assess leadership capacity, command coordination, and combat readiness of island units and DK1 platforms.

The delegation also inspected Party and political work, logistics, technical support, and medical response capability. On Truong Sa (Spratly) Island, military doctors successfully carried out a simulated emergency consultation with Military Hospital 175 on the mainland through an online connection.
In addition, the delegation visited fisheries logistics centers supporting fishermen with anchorage, fuel, freshwater, supplies, technical repairs, and healthcare, helping them confidently maintain offshore fishing and contribute to protecting national maritime sovereignty. They also encouraged fishermen and on-duty forces in Truong Sa waters.
New inspection methods during the trip aimed to strengthen political steadfastness, determination, training quality, and combat readiness among troops. Through direct exchanges and inspections, the delegation also assessed leadership capacity and the exemplary role of Party members and commanding staff.
Officer-soldier solidarity, military-civilian bond as strong foundation
During visits, Gen. Tung inquired after officers and soldiers’ life, activities, and duties.
Soldier Ha Nguyen Minh Hoang of Son Ca (Sand Cay) Island shared that the concern and trust shown by the delegation leadership gave him greater motivation to continue fulfilling duties on the remote island.

Prof., Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, former Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council expressed admiration for the steadfast spirit of soldiers who continue to train, work, and support local people despite storms, strong winds, and difficult living conditions.
Prosperous and vibrant Truong Sa
Today, Truong Sa is not only strong in defense posture, but also increasingly developed in infrastructure, living conditions, and environment. Housing areas, schools, clinics, cultural facilities, logistics centers, and wharves have created a new appearance across the archipelago. That inspired artists of the delegation to compose a collection of 14 musical works to spread love for national sea and islands.

Attentively, on Sinh Ton (Sin Cowe) Island, the delegation experienced a peaceful atmosphere resembling a coastal village on the mainland, with national flags flying, children welcoming visitors, and close military-civilian relations.
Education conditions on the islands have gradually improved. Teachers continue devoting themselves to educating children despite difficult conditions. At Sinh Ton Primary School, teacher Phan Quang Tuan shared that he begins a day with the clear laughter of his students as they practice singing, dancing, and reciting poetry, and ends with the simple joy of seeing each letter appear on the pages of their notebooks.
At Da Tay A (West London Reef) Island wharf, fishermen expressed gratitude for the support provided by naval troops, including freshwater, fuel, and technical assistance during long fishing trips. These services help fishermen confidently operate in traditional fishing grounds while affirming Vietnam’s enduring presence at sea.
