Needy Vietnamese, Cambodian people receive free health checkups
PANO – Free health checkups and medicines, and gifts were offered to needy people in border communes in Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province (Vietnam) and Romeas Haek district, Svay Rieng province (Cambodia).
The program was jointly held by the Vietnam Border Guard High Command in association with other Vietnamese partners, namely the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command, Charitable Golden Heart Fund, National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology, Thong Nhat Hospital at the Military-Civilian Clinic of Bien Gioi commune, Chau Thanh district.

During the event, in the presence of Senior Colonel Nguyen Tai Son, Political Commissar of the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command, about 700 people received free health checkups and medicines. In addition, they were also provided with basic knowledge of disease prevention.
On this occasion, the organizing panel also presented 700 gifts, including rice, instant noodle, soybean sauce and other necessities, to poor people living in both districts. The total cost of the program was estimated at VND 210 million.

Besides, Vietnamese military doctors and border guards also conducted a social program in border localities of Cambodia.
This was a meaningful activity for people in border areas by the Tay Ninh provincial Border Guard Command, contributing to improving the health and living standards of local people.
