His crewmates immediately transported him to Tien Nu Island for first aid. Recognizing the seriousness of his condition, medical personnel on the island quickly arranged for his transfer to the infirmary on Nam Yet Island later that day.
Upon arrival, doctors at Nam Yet coordinated a remote consultation with specialists from Military Hospital 103 in Hanoi and Military Hospital 175 in Ho Chi Minh City. The patient was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke. Medical staff promptly administered emergency interventions to stabilize his blood pressure, support neurological function, and closely monitor his cardiovascular condition. However, due to the severity of his condition, doctors recommended transferring the patient to a higher-level medical facility for specialized care as soon as transport conditions allow.
