Hundreds of households in Nhan Ly village, Nam Phuong Tien commune, Chuong My district, have been isolated.

Nearly 1,413ha of rice, 250ha of other crops and 598ha of aquatic farming have been flooded. Meanwhile, many canals and dyke sections were also eroded.

Accordingly, the Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of the district asked Chuong My district Military Command to set up a rescue team at the People's Committee of Nam Phuong Tien commune to grasp weather situations and promptly mobilize military forces stationed in the locality to support flood victims. More  troops were sent to the locality to evacuate residents from flood-prone areas and ensure food and safety for locals. This timely presence of the armed forces has minimized damages to humans and property.

Earlier, a delegation of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee, led by Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Council, visited and presented gifts to flood-hit households in Chuong My district. On this occasion, the delegation donated 1 ton of rice, 100 boxes of instant noodles, 100 milk bottles and nearly VND 100 million to flood victims.
