More care for national contributors nationwide
PANO – On July 20, the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel War Veterans’ Association held a get-together for its members in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the “81 fierce days and nights in Quang Tri Ancient Citadel” event. Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, the province’s leadership, and over 300 members of the veterans’ association attended the event.
Addressing the meeting, Vice President Thinh applauded great contributions of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel soldiers to the national construction and defense cause, affirming that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember their feats-of-arms, which serve to promote national revolutionary heroism and bravery among younger generations.

The same day’s evening, the association held an artistic program, themed “Sacred Ancient Citadel”, and floated flower garlands and colored lanterns in the Southern part of the Thach Han River of Quang Tri town.
* A similar event was also held at the head office of the General Department of Politics for martyrs’ relatives, war veterans, and wounded and sick soldiers of the general department. Major General Le Hien Van, Deputy Director of the general department, and Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, former Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics, attended the event.
