By June 21 afternoon, forces under the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command had brought hundreds of people, thousands of livestock and poultry and dozens of tons of rice to safe areas.

In pro-actively responding to floods, the command alerted all forces, vehicles and militia troops to stay ready to give assistance to people on request.

Also on June 21, in low-lying communes such as Thinh Duc in Thai Nguyen City,  Binh Son and Ba Xuyen in Song Cong City, floodwater was over 1.5m deep, causing many households to be isolated in the midst of rapidly rising floodwater. Under the direction of the Military Region 1 (MR1) Command, Artillery Brigade 382 quickly sent nearly 300 officers, soldiers and vehicles to help local people. The rescue team coordinated with local forces to organize emergency evacuation of isolated households.

The MR1 Command requested its subordinate units to increase on-duty work, ready to help localities respond to natural disasters in all situations.
