During the conference, delegates were briefed on several key topics, including the current situation in the East Sea (South China Sea), achievements in safeguarding national sovereignty over seas and islands in the first half of 2025, and future directions. Other presentations covered the outcomes of the “For Vietnam’s Sea and Islands” Fund, recent marine economic development in Binh Dinh Province, and strategies for the coming years.

As part of the program, delegates laid flowers at the Nguyen Sinh Sac–Nguyen Tat Thanh monument in Quy Nhon City and attended a ceremony to launch the province’s “For Vietnam’s Sea and Islands” Fund.

Speaking at the event, Sr. Col. Nguyen The Manh stressed that protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands continues to present new challenges. Therefore, agencies and units must effectively implement the Party’s and State’s resolutions, policies, and guidelines on maritime affairs, while working closely with other forces to enhance public outreach and education on national maritime sovereignty.

Delegates were also encouraged to offer recommendations to higher authorities and actively contribute ideas and initiatives to mobilize public support and engagement in building the “For Vietnam’s Sea and Islands” Fund, thereby supporting national socio-economic development goals.
