Reportedly, in the reviewed period, the two sides effectively carried out the program on improving the efficiency of cultural, sports, tourism and family activities in border areas, at sea, and on islands. The program, as Gen. Tuan said, positively changed the cultural, sports, tourism life of local people, including those from ethnic minority groups, in these areas.

The two agencies actively coordinated to develop projects and policies on ethnic work, paid due attention to disseminating the Party’s guideline, the State’s policies and laws on culture, sports, and tourism in ethnic minority areas, and improved quality of cultural, sports activities to raise spiritual and material life of troops and people in border areas, among others.

Apart from coordination achievements, the two sides also pointed out shortcomings.

At the event, the two sides signed the coordination program in the 2023 - 2028 period with a focus on consolidating organization and activities of cultural dissemination teams and units; organizing more cultural and artistic programs to serve ethnic minority people and border guard troops in border areas and on islands, especially remote, mountainous, and very difficult ones; and preserving and promoting typical traditional culture values of each ethnic minority groups, which are attractive to both domestic and international tourists.
