In response to the emulation movement “Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025,” Defense-Economic Unit 78 has mobilized resources to help eliminate 29 temporary and dilapidated houses for workers, laborers, and local people in the two communes of Mo Rai and Ia Toi.

The construction of the houses started on April 26, 2025, and has now been completed, each house averaging over 91 sq.m.

Apart from supporting the construction of 29 new houses, the unit has repaired 10 houses for people in the locality.

* On the same day, the Military Cheo (Vietnamese Popular Opera) Theater inaugurated and handed over a house to non-commissioned Senior Captain Pham Minh Duc, a musician of the theater with difficult conditions.

It was a practical activity to show the sentiment and close care of the unit towards needy officers and artists, contributing to building a comprehensively strong, typical and exemplary theater and helping Sr. Cap. Duc to feel secure to accomplish all assigned missions.

Under the directive of the leadership of the General Department of Political Affairs on building houses for non-commissioned officers and workers in the whole military, the theater coordinated with the family of Sr. Cap. Duc to build the house with a usable area of 65 sq.m. and a total cost of more than VND 450 million in Vinh Ngoc village, Vinh Thanh commune, Hanoi.
