Military hospital saves a pregnant woman
PANO - Military Hospital 354 under the General Department of Logistics of the Vietnam People’s Army has successfully saved the life of a 27-week pregnant woman with her blood circulation stopped.
This was a complicated and rare case and the doctors did not know anything about the patient’s history of the disease.
The patient suddenly lost consciousness and developed cyanosis. Ventricular fibrillation appeared on the monitor. The hospital’s doctors founded the abnormality and conducted an integrated cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
With the high determination to save the patient, the hospital’s director summoned doctors and held a consultation right in the patient’s room.
The patient was then given special therapies to control her breath, maintain her blood flow, and treat other disorders as well as check signs of recovery of her consciousness.
After nearly 1 hour and a half receiving emergency aid, the patient had signs of blood circulation, and brain operation.
The hospital immediately contacted and took the patient to Bach Mai Hospital for further treatment.
