The house of Pham Thi Thai's family in Ha Khau ward, Ha Long city was partially damaged due to the impact of the third storm. To help her family soon stabilize their life, Quang Ninh armed forces rushed to the scene and helped them clean up the house, reroof it, and cut down fallen fruit trees in her garden.

In spite of harsh weather conditions, troops of Regiment 244 under the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command worked at a high speed. Thai shared that her family had been staying at a neighbor’s house for the past few days. Troops helped her clean and repair the house. She was deeply moved.
According to Nguyen Tuan Minh, Vice Chairman of the Ha Long city People’s Committee, the timely support of the provincial armed forces and military units helped localities and people quickly overcome storm and flood consequences so that they would soon return to normal life.

Meanwhile, the province’s armed forces also worked with other forces to support localities in surmounting flood aftermath in schools, hospitals, offices and main traffic routes.
In Quang Yen town, the armed forces and military units stationed in the locality helped people clean the environment and repair houses; assisted schools to create conditions for students to quickly go back to school.

According to the statistics, to respond to the third storm and overcome its consequences, the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command has mobilized more than 10,000 troops, standing and militia forces. In addition, troops have pro-actively responded to post-storm circulation, floods and sea level rise; evacuated people in areas at risk of flooding to safe places; and actively teamed up with other forces to speed up search and rescue operations at sea, to name but a few.

Senior Colonel Khuc Thanh Du, Commanding Officer of the Quang Ninh provincial Military Command, shared that they have prioritized the search and rescue at sea. Under higher levels’ directions, the air force coordinated with forces at sea to take urgent measures for timely search and rescue, and overcome the consequences at sea.
The active support of Quang Ninh armed forces has contributed to helping people soon stabilize their life and beautifying the image of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the people’s heart.
