The model aims to offer free health counseling, medical examination and medicines to local people from Tung Huong and Tan Huong - the two border villages in Tam Quang commune with rough terrain and difficult socio-economic conditions.

In order to provide health care for local people and give them a better understanding of different types of medicines and treatment for several common diseases, Tam Quang Border Post called on benefactors, directly pharmacist Thai Thi Lam, to support the building of the “Medicine cabinets in border areas” model.

In detail, the unit’s medicine cabinet includes 52 different types of medicines for common diseases such as colds, stomach aches, blood pressure, bone and joint diseases, and supplements, to name but a few.

After the launching ceremony, the medical staff of Tam Quang Border Post worked with Tam Quang commune medical station to provide free health check-ups and medicines for locals from Tung Huong and Tan Huong villages.
