* On September 5, the Border Post of Hai Phong Port Border Gate under Hai Phong city’s Border Guard Command handed over 25 gifts (worth VND 1 million each) to needy students with good academic results in primary and secondary schools in Vinh Quang commune, Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city. The activity aimed to encourage the students to try their best in the new academic year, while deepening the military-civilian ties in the border areas of Tien Lang district, Hai Phong province.

* On the same day, the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command’s affiliated units visited and congratulated schools in the areas where they are stationed on the occasion of the new academic year 2022-2023.
Accordingly, the units offered 54 gifts, worth more than VND 66 million, to the local students.
Earlier, on September 4, at Xuan Lien commune’s Primary School in Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province, Lach Ken Border Guard Post of the Ha Tinh provincial Border Guard Command held a free haircut program for local students.
* On September 4, at An Phu B Primary School, Nhon Hung Border Post of the An Giang provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with the local authorities of An Phu commune (Tinh Bien district, An Giang province) and sponsors in Long Xuyen city (An Giang province) and Can Tho city carried out a program to grant gifts to needy students in An Phu commune.
Accordingly, 730 gifts, totally worth VND 176 million, including books, notebooks, pen, and schoolbag, were given to local students.
* The Long An provincial Border Guard Command, on September 5, offered scholarships to 45 students from My Quy Tay Secondary and High Schools (Duc Hue district, Long An province).
During the academic year 2022-2023, the Long An provincial Border Guard Command offered 64 scholarships to disadvantaged students, totally worth VND 384 million, including 45 from 20 border communes and Ben Luc townlet, and 19 Cambodian students.
On this occasion, the command directed its affiliated units to hand over gifts, worth totally more than VND 155 million and hundreds of notebooks and school supplies, to needy students.
* A similar program was also held by the Dak Nong provincial Border Guard Command. Accordingly, 66 gifts, worth VND 384 million, were also presented to local students.

* Earlier, on August 25, in Quang Son commune (Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province), Hai Ha district Youth Union cooperated with Quang Duc Border Guard Post under the Quang Ninh provincial Border Guard, conducted a program to grant 30 "study corners," worth VND 36 million, to disadvantaged students in the district. Each study corner includes a table, a chair, a lamp, and an Uncle Ho’s photo.
In addition, the border unit also presented two bicycles, worth VND 4 million, to needy students in Quang Son I Primary School.
* On this occasion, the Tien Giang provincial Border Guard Command presented money in cash to 12 students, VND 4.5 million each, and nine gifts to students with good academic results in academic year 2021-2022.
