Themed “Kien Giang’s armed forces, together with the Party Committee, authorities, and people of Giang Thanh district, join hands to build new-style rural areas,” the festival will take place from June, 2024 to January, 2025.

As scheduled, the event will comprise a series of activities to care for local people, including building 54 houses for needy people and two bridges for the locality; presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor and near-poor families; and providing medical examinations, medicines and health counseling for the locals; to name but a few.
Meanwhile, the organizing panel will grant scholarships to disadvantaged students; conduct the “Light in rural areas” program; clean up the environment; carry out artistic and sports programs, folk games, and Chung cake wrapping competitions, among others.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Luu Trung underscored that these activities will contribute to affirming good virtues of the Vietnam People’s Army, showing due attention of the provincial Party and People’s Committees and the sentiments and responsibility of departments, sectors, socio-political organizations, companies, businesses, and benefactors inside and outside the province towards local people.

Concluding the event, the steering committee held a groundbreaking ceremony to start the construction of the rural bridge HN2, connecting three hamlets of Ca Ngay, Co Quen, and Ta Teng in Phu Loi commune, and the building of a great-solidarity house in Giong Ke hamlet, Giang Thanh district.
