At the special national relic site of Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, the GDP chief and the delegation offered incense and paid deep gratitude to martyrs for their great sacrifices for national liberation and reunification. The delegation then offered incense and laid flowers at Truong Son National War Cemetery, and Road 9 National War Cemetery.

Gen. Quyet and the delegation vowed to stay united as one; remain absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and people; be determined to build the Vietnam People's Army into a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military; and join hands with the whole Party and people to successfully carry out the renewal process and build and protect the Fatherland.

* On the same day, Deputy Chief of the General Staff (GS) Lt. Gen. Nguyen Trong Binh led a delegation to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Associate Professor Dang Bich Ha on Vung Chua - Yen Island in Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

The delegation then inquired after and presented gifts of the CMC and MND to wounded soldiers Dau Xuan Ky (born in 1942) and Nguyen Xuan Khuong (born in 1946) in Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district.
