GDLT’s delegation pays tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap and martyrs
PANO - On August 20, authorized by the Central Military Commission (CMC) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND), a delegation of the General Department of Logistics and Technical Services (GDLT), led by its Political Commissar Lt. Gen. Do Van Thien, laid flowers and offered incense to General Vo Nguyen Giap and heroic martyrs in Quang Tri and Ha Tinh provinces.

In Quang Tri province, the delegation respectfully offered incense and laid wreaths in remembrance of General Vo Nguyen Giap on his grave in Vung Chua - Dao Yen area.
The delegation solemnly expressed profound gratitude and deep respect for the General’s immense contributions to the nation, and pledged to continue studying and following his moral example and steadfast revolutionary spirit, to remain absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, and people, and to strive to strengthen the military logistics and technical sector in general, and the GDLT in particular, to successfully accomplish all assigned missions in the new situation.
On the same day, the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and youth volunteers at Dong Loc Junction Special National Historical Relic in Ha Tinh province.
The delegation expressed their profound respect and gratitude to fallen soldiers, especially the 10 female youth volunteers who resiliently maintained the vital transport route supplying the Southern theater and bravely sacrificed their lives at a very young age. These young women have become immortal symbols of Vietnamese youth, shining examples of revolutionary heroism, boundless patriotism, and a spirit of dedication and sacrifice for the Fatherland.

Upholding revolutionary achievements and continuing along the path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and previous generations, the officers, soldiers, and personnel of the GDLT pledged to make more efforts to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks, ensure timely logistics supplies and technical services for all missions, contributing to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Viet Nam People’s Army, and firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.
