Cu Lao Cham Border Post transports patient in deep coma to mainland
PANO - On February 1, the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command announced that Cu Lao Cham Border Post had used a speedboat to transport a patient from Tan Hiep island commune (Da Nang city) to the mainland for emergency treatment.
Earlier, at 4:55 p.m. on the same day, implementing the order of the commander of the municipal Border Guard Command, the post deployed speedboat 43-0705 with three officers and soldiers to transport Vo Phuc Thanh (born in 1979, from Bai Ong village, Tan Hiep commune), who had fallen into a deep coma of unknown cause. A relative and a doctor from Tan Hiep Civil-Military Medical Infirmary accompanied the patient.

By 5:30 p.m., the vessel arrived safely at Cua Dai Port. The patient was handed over to an ambulance for transfer to Hoi An Medical Center (Hoi An ward, Da Nang city).

Since the beginning of 2026, Cu Lao Cham Border Post has conducted four such missions, transporting five patients and their relatives from the island to the mainland for emergency treatment.
