Da Nang border guards transport stroke patient from island to mainland
PANO - On the evening of January 19, the Da Nang municipal Border Guard Command announced that the unit had successfully transported a stroke patient from Cu Lao Cham Island to the mainland for emergency treatment.

The patient was Tran Cong Thanh (born in 1960), residing in Bai Lang village, Tan Hiep commune, Da Nang city.
Upon receiving the distress call at 7:45 p.m. on the same day, the Da Nang Municipal Border Guard Command directed Cu Lao Cham Border Post to deploy a speedboat with three troops to transport the patient and his relative to the mainland.
By 8:40 p.m., the boat arrived safely at Cua Dai Port in Hoi An Dong ward, Da Nang city. The patient was subsequently handed over to Emergency Center 115 and transferred to the Da Nang Hospital for further treatment.
