The armed forces provided support to flood-hit communities in several provinces, including Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Son La, and Hanoi capital city. These relief efforts included the cleaning and repair of 15 residential houses, 8 government administration offices, 8 hospitals and medical stations, and 9 schools. Furthermore, troops sanitized and disinfected over 65 kilometers of roads and nearly 325 hectares of flooded areas, and distributed 11,400 sets of clothing to affected people.

On October 15, most of the main roads in Thai Nguyen Province are cleared.

On the same day, a 300-meter section of the dike collapsed due to heavy rain and floodwaters in Go Phao hamlet, Hung Dien commune, Tay Ninh province, affecting the lives of local residents. In response, local authorities deployed a combined force of military troops, police, along with local response teams to help people manage the incident.

On the afternoon the same day, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Thai Nguyen province held a farewell ceremony for officers and soldiers, and other forces who had completed their relief missions. Over the past 10 days, more than 50,000 officers and soldiers, together with over 70,000 militia personnel, reservists, and 1,300 vehicles, participated in disaster recovery efforts in Thai Nguyen Province. These forces worked together to evacuate thousands of households, reinforce numerous dike sections, clear thousands of landslides-affected areas, collect 10,000 tons of waste, and help 10,000 families stabilize their lives. The People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province awarded certificates of merit to 26 collectives for their outstanding mission performances.
