A view of an activity at An Giang University

More than 3,000 officials, Party members, women’s union members, Youth Union members, university and high school students were briefed on the strategic importance of sea and islands to national development and defense, the current maritime situation, and the Party and State’s policies and measures to safeguard national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Participants also learned about notable achievements of the Vietnam People’s Navy, the development and growth of Naval Region 5, and policies aimed at attracting highly qualified personnel to help build a modernized Navy.

The program also emphasized the role of women in An Giang in national development and encouraged Women’s Union members to support activities for the national sea and islands through practical initiatives.

Speakers also introduced students to the study and training environment in the military, along with admission requirements and application procedures for the 2026 intake at the Naval Academy and the Naval Technical College. The information helped students with career planning while fostering a sense of responsibility and dedication to protecting national maritime sovereignty.

In addition to presentations, organizers distributed leaflets and screened photos and videos on training, combat readiness, patrol operations, sovereignty protection missions, and naval support for fishermen. The visual and interactive format improved the effectiveness of the campaign and made the content more accessible.
