Laos were handed over to their families at a ceremony held in northern Son La province on June 27.
The remains had been found by a searching team of the Military Zone 4 that is charged with scouring the Laos countryside for the remains of fallen Vietnamese soldiers in Laos.
The remains then were reburied at the To Hieu cemetery in Son La town.
As from 1996, 1,578 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers falling down during the wars in the 60s and 70s of the last century in Laos have been repatriated to localities nationwide.
