PANO - An annual get-together of the Liaison Committee of Vietnamese military experts and volunteer troops for international missions in Laos was held on October 30 in Hanoi.

The meeting heard of magnanimous traditions recalled by veterans, as well as a review of the committee’s activities in 2012, and put forwards tasks and directions for 2013.

Over the past year, the committee conducted various practical activities in response to the “Vietnam-Laos Friendship Solidarity Year”, such as taking part in a friendly exchange between Vietnamese-Lao delegates and exchanging with Lao students studying at the University of Ha Tinh.

Regarding the future plans, the committee will push up the establishment of an association of former Vietnamese volunteer troops and military experts for international missions in Laos, actively contributing to fostering and strengthening the special ties and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
