Vietnam to make thorough preparation for border defense friendship exchanges

At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien underscored the importance and meanings of the border defense friendship exchanges in boosting friendship and cooperation between militaries as well as border guards, local authorities and people in the shared borderline between Vietnam and neighboring countries.

The deputy defense minister also requested the functional units to work with the neighboring countries to discuss the organization of the exchanges, while making thorough preparations for the border defense friendship exchanges between Vietnam and three neighboring countries, namely China, Laos, and Cambodia in 2023.

So far, Vietnam and China has organized the Vietnam - China border defense friendship exchange program for seven times, while the first Vietnam - Laos, and Vietnam - Cambodia border defense friendship exchanges were also held in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
