Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center joins voluntary blood donation drive
PANO - The Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center and Central Military Hospital 108 co-held a blood donation program on March 20.
It was part of activities within the framework of the Youth Month program, aiming to respond to the voluntary blood donation campaign in the whole military in 2024 and celebrate the 93rd founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Khac Thang, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, emphasized that blood donation is a noble and kind deed. Over the past years, the center has effectively implemented information dissemination and education among officers, workers, cadets and soldiers to raise their awareness of the significance of blood donation and heighten their responsibility toward the community.

Moreover, the unit has regularly coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and Central Military Hospital 108 to conduct blood donation programs, attracting the participation of hundreds of officers, soldiers, cadets and staff and collecting hundreds of blood units.
This year, themed “A drop of blood given, a life saved,” the program collected more than 100 units of blood with more than 100 troops and staff of the Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center donating.
